Lab Management

Overview

Our Consultation and Reference Laboratory serves as a compatibility testing service and provides suitable, safe and effective blood and blood components for transfusion to patients in over 100 facilities. The laboratory also functions as a reference laboratory for clients and area hospitals performing and evaluating a wide variety of tests to resolve complex serological patient problems. Telephone consultation is also provided to aid clients with troubleshooting and problem solving.

For our clients' convenience, remote crossmatch facilities are located in The Woodlands and Champions in addition to our Headquarters located in the Texas Medical Center.

Lab Management

Manager of the Consultation and Reference Laboratory and member of the GCRBC management staff since 1996. Received BS degree in Medical Technology from the University of Texas Health Science Center in 1981 and completed Specialist in Blood Bank requirements at the American Red Cross in St. Louis, MO. A broad background in the field of blood banking has been gained throughout her career. Experience has included working in numerous hospital transfusion services, manufacturing and quality control of blood bank reagents and Immunohematology reference testing at blood centers across the country.
